uk unlocked/unbranded last to be updated

Samsung have stopped updating unlocked/unbranded phones first we now have to wait for all the locked/branded phones to be updated first..this was the only reason I got a phone on contract from car phone warehouse..it looks like we will get jellybean update some time in November

Plenty of JB roms available to flash already.... Waiting for updates to be pushed out is an unnecessary waste of time

Yes, if you want to wait, but I've been on JB for the past 2 weeks.
Also with network phone you have all the bloatware - but agree, the Networks have obviously struck up a deal with samsung as there is no reason why an unmodified JB sim free firmware should take longer than a network modified version.

Although Youmobile maybe right it is just speculation regarding the Unbranded release of JB, their source doesn't mention Unbranded firmware at all. There's really only a week left of October so chance favours a November release anyway.

Just done my unrooted S3....

Having trouble with mine. Got the update to Kies, then started the S111 update, but part way through it tells me the phone is disconnected.

Yup, can confirm that my mate's S3 unlocked has received an update via Kies......don't think he's logged a Samsung account yet.

Time to restore my Nandroid and update to JB the official way.
