    Vanishing ringtone

hi I have a ringtone I like which is saved in my music and set as my ringtone. All fine but periodically it vanishes and goes to a default phone ringtone. Last time that was nothing but usually a very quiet gentle tone that I do not hear or recognise. Any suggestions please on how to stop this keep happening. I'm missing calls each time it occurs.

Is your phone force closing, and restarting?
If so your settings can be lost.
If you suspect an app, then in Settings > Applications find the app and Clear Data.
If you have updated your firmware recently, then Clear Cache from Recovery.
If that doesn't work, then Factory Reset.

    Hi
Seems I have a similar issue, I use whats app and have an assigned notification tone....works perfectly well....but every now and again for no apparent reason I loose all notification tones, when I notice this I have to reassign my tone and off we go again,,, a couple of weeks later same thing....OK I can live with this but ever so slightly annoying.

    Your thoughts

My phone does not force close

gald to hear I'm not alone with this annoyance. I'm not aware of it doing a forced close or anything and dont have many apps on the phone either.
