Galaxy SII blue tick next to contact's number - what is it?

When I go to my list of contacts, there is one contact that if I click on their name to see their number, then next to their number is a blue tick.

None of my other contacts have this blue tick.

What does it mean?

I found out the meaning.

I have 2 numbers for this contact, and I chose this number as default, so the blue tick appears.

Yes, it is the mark for the default number if you have them as separate contacts.....

I had that same check mark next to one of my contacts. Whenever that contact tried to call me my phone never ring but that contact showed up in my missed call list. I had to delete the contact and then re-add that contact to get rid of the blue check mark. Still don't know how the blue check mark got there in the first place.
