My brother-in-law, a hobbyist jeweler, told about a rumor he heard-that jeweler's loupes on a camera phone lens can take great pictures. Jeweler's Loupes are a 10x optic, but he didn't have a cell phone with a camera. So I took out my GS II, put his Loupe up to it, and got great close-up images of the gem stones he had out for polishing. I wish I could post a couple of them here for all to see. Of course this experiment isn't for professional publishing, but if you just wanted a good snapshot of tiny objects, a Jeweler's Loupe can get surprising results.
