    the wifes s3

hi again everyone , i'm back to haunt you guys again , i have a bit of a problem and its not with my galaxy s2 , its with my wifes galaxy s3 , it sems its connecting to my laptop and loading all my photo's into her gallery on the s3 !!!

Now its not that i've got anything to hide (yet) but i would much rather not having the s3 poking around in my laptop , i've looked at all the setting in her phone and can't find anything to stop this happening .

She has her own laptop which it doesn't connect to !!! When i do a scan on her phon for nearby devices nothing shows up , not even my laptop its getting into .

Would appreciate some help here guys , thank you

You have enabled your photo directory to be shared by other devices on the network. Right click on the folder and stop sharing.

    Hello.

On your wife's S3 check to see if the following option is ticked in the menu settings:

Menu > Settings > More settings > Nearby Devices > File Sharing

Do you have Samsung Kies installed on your Laptop? If so there maybe some wireless syncing going on???

Also, what program on your laptop has all your photos stored. Or what program do you use to view pictures?

The S3 has a fair few more ways of sharing media than the S2. Still bizarre that the phone would auto sync photos from a device (unless setup to) rather than from a cloud storage like Dropbox or Google+.

Edit: Also check the options/permissions for file sharing below the tick box.

I have checked her settings and file sharing is off on her phone , i do not have kies on my laptop and it isn't on hers either , and the program used for viewing my pics is windows live photo gallery .
I set up a homegroup a while ago on my laptop , i deleted the homegroup and her phone is not accessing my laptop now , but the problem is my phone won't access it either since deleting the homegroup !!!

Any folders marked for sharing on the homegroup will be accessible to any device on the same lan or wifi network (that is the point of the homegroup). You have to right click on each folder and set sharing options (either "locked", "ALL" or named).
