Of course, it's pretty much a standard that if a newer version of something is released that the older version drops in price.

Just use Google, the price should start dropping before the official release in order to boost sales for the Note 1

After launching of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 plus version OR any other comparative model price may be drop. Samsung mobile officially do this to promote new mobile phone models.
