    Network errors

I'm using AT&T and most of the time I cannot access S-Voice because I get "network error" - I'm located south of Dallas, well within AT&T's coverage area, and the problem seems to follow me even into Dallas proper (I couldn't use S-Voice at DFW Airport last week). Sometimes if I reset the phone, the app will begin to work. This occurs on S-Voice and on Skyvi as well. Is this just crappy AT&T service, or is there something wrong with my phone?

Have you tried contacting your network and asking them if other users are having troubles the same as you?

ROFL! Tufftoad, have you ever heard of a carrier actually admitting to having a problem? No, I haven't called AT&T about this, but every time I have called them I get someone in Bangladesh or something, so I haven't bothered this time. I have talked to quite a few other AT&T customers in this area who say that service has degraded over the past few months, but it's just anecdotal information at this point. Something seems to be going on, however; we can seldom use our cellphones in the house after about 8:00PM - maybe it's all related?

Not sure about America but if I have a problem with my network I'll give them an earful till they sort it or tell me what's up. Know what you mean though, I try not to contact the carrier unless I really have to.

I know Samsung released an update recently which took away some voice search facilities, something to do with Apples and Patents? I'm not sure if the update may have affected this, also never heard of Skyvi.

Edit: The update cancelling some local search options was released about a month or two after the phone was released.

I have only had my SIII for about a month, so I'd assume that I've already got that update. The problem is very sporadic, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - mostly it doesn't. We have five AT&T cellphones, all but one are Androids - we're really unhappy with the service, but all AT&T will say is that they're always adding towers. :-) I just don't know if this problem is the phone, the software or the carrier - thanks for the info, tho

Be thankful you can't get SVoice as it's of novelty value only.
Has anyone actually found it useful??
