Pretty sure this isn't possible, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I've been wondering if there's any hack or application which allows the user to run individual applications in a window instead of full-screen, and resize move and minimize windows like on computers. Possibly replacing the dock with a taskbar like the Windows / Linux one as well.
For example: Let's say I'm running the Internet application and the Files application. By default, I need to use the task manager to switch between them, and they take up the entire screen. But what if I could put them in resizable / movable windows that show in front of the desktop (launcher) like on a computer? And could switch between them by tapping on the window behind the active one.
I think this would likely require advanced system modifications and a hacked version of Android, but I'm still curious if anyone got it working. I tend to use my SGS3 like a laptop and rarely like a phone, so such ideas interest me. Maybe a custom launcher can cut it to some point?
I googled about this, but didn't find much. There are some articles saying someone managed to port KDE to Android. Haven't seen it working however, and I'm not sure if it's for tablets and not smartphones. Any info about all this?
