Root advice on note please

Can anyone please tell me the safest way to root my GT-N7000 on android 4.0.4 Baseband xxlrk now? Was about to go with the CWM/Busybox method but saw there is talk of extensive bricking on recovery. I am no stranger to modding but only with very stable/stock roms. Also quite happy with stock 4.0.4 for now but need want extra backup capabilty. Where is a safe root please?

Your chosen root method is fine, just don't do a factory reset/ data wipe from CWM recovery if you have the suspect emmc chip.
