    Call logging

    Hello
I've searched high and low for this issue with my S3 without any luck.
When I select a number in my call log, it only shows the history for that particular day.
I cannot see the history for the last week.
    Any ideas?
    Smiles

    Don't know.
My S3 shows all calls in the log until I delete them.
Have you got some app that deletes call history/clears cache?

If you go to the call log screen you will see that everything is listed in the order it occurred.

Tapping on one call/sms will only show the activity for that call/sms.

Oh I see, that's what the OP is trying to achieve, and can see how that would be useful.
The only filter available is to 'View by' with options like All logs/dialled calls/etc.

Perhaps there's a feature the OP wants in another launcher.
    Anyone??

Can understand that it would be quite useful, especially to look up one person who's called and all the times they've called.

Think a 3rd party app might be needed here....maybe Call History - Google Play

thank you so much for responding to this
Couldn't get any solutions on samsunggalaxysforums.com
I tried to add an unsaved number as a contact,
so i could use the "call history" feature which seems to only be available for contacts.
Immediately afterwards, the history is just blank.
But if i restarted the device, the whole log for this new number is now available as originally wanted.
    I checked a friend's S2 to be the same.
But just wonder why my old gingerbread S1 could do it straight off the call log without any saving & restarting.
Would samsung or android take note of little things like to this to add to future updates?
Or would i be wasting my time trying to tell them?
    Smiles
