Can someone help with auto-rotation?

Hi guys
My auto rotation keeps shutting itself off. I went into settings to check there and after I put it on from the pull down menu bar it resets itself and turns itself off.
Im thinking maybe its a setting problem or app causing it.
Any ideas?

Try a soft reset (battery out) and remove any apps you installed since you noticed the issue.

Problem is its been doing it for awhile I dont remember which ones I installed since

Back up your phone and do a factory reset. Only install the most important apps you use at first and then add the others until you find the problem.

I'd turn on the auto rotation and leave the phone, if it's off then the solution will be harder to find.

If it's still on then sit down with a cup of [insert beverage here] and open each app in turn to see if any trigger it.

If that doesn't work you may need to use each app for a bit.

Also have a look at any apps with file management or system functions and check their settings.

Got the same problem, can´t find a solution. It is crazy that such a sophisticated phone gives us this trouble.To top it up , Kies is the biggest worthless suite ever. Why dont they ask Nikia to borrow OVI which always works, has many fubctions and is not as complicated. Are there any better , equal to OVI systems out there ? Thanks for helping ?

I could suggest that there are sometimes problems because it is so complicated. The problem could be an app over which Samsung has no control.
