I shall look forward to the S2 JB release when it comes along. I hope to upgrade to the the S3 in November and have my S2 as a play thing as I understand it is not beneficial to root the S3 which is a shame.

Yes you can unlock your future Vodafone S3 (if it is locked)
By then the galaxy S unlock apps on the Play Store may have been modified to work, but I used Valhalla (I know!! reckon all these developers are goths, practising their black arts lol)

Brought this back to life as today have flashed Wanamlite v4.2.1 which is v4.1.1 and all very confusing. XXDLJ4 based.

Don't much care for custom roms but will see how it goes until I can get my preferred stock firmware + CF-Root + circular battery combo.

Would have liked the stock notification icon set but as I wanted the circular battery it appears you have to have the custom icons, of which there are too many.

EDIT: It said it had an Aroma installer but I couldn't smell anything different so was a bit disappointed, really.

I was going to install this just for the melt down smell, but as it doesn't smell any different I'll give it a pass

Nah, some stuff doesn't work properly. Dolphin Mini doesn't zoom, Swype Beta doesn't auto insert a space and a few other bits and bobs were not right. Whether the problems are with the custom rom or JB itself I don't know, but I'm going back to BLFB ICS for now and will monitor JB for a few weeks.

JB available for UK now.
Think you're right about apps not working due to an app update being required rather than the JB/Wanam firmware.
All my apps are working, apart from Tegrak overclock, but hoping that will be updated soon

There were a few other things that I didn't like. The internal memory was labelled sdcard0 in the stock file manager, the busy circle animation was sometimes top right instead of screen centre, the notification bar seemed to be off black instead of completely black & the whole thing seemed to be no smoother than ICS.

I'll give JB a while to settle down before I move across to stock with my preferred minor tweaks.
