    Polaris & OI file-opening problem

Word documents are only partly opening - eg only the first two pages of an 8-page doc, or six pages of a 20-pager - in both Polaris Office and OI File Manager. The files themselves are complete - if I connect the phone to a PC using usb and open the files with the PC, the documents open with all pages, but in Polaris or OI only the first few pages are shown. Any ideas for fixing this?

Do you have the full version of Polaris Office?
I found it quite limited, and purchased Quick Office, but the full version of Polaris should fully open your documents.

In the app store I can only see one version - not a free one and a 'full' one. Mine has no adverts, doesn't show any features that need a higher version to work, and in the 'About' info it doesn't invite me to upgrade, so I assume it's the full one.

But I'm interested in getting something a bit more businesslike anyway - especially one that preserves formats etc when you edit on the phone and then pass back to the PC. What made you choose Quick Office? Are you pleased with it? How do you reckon it compares with, say, Documents to Go?

    Thanks, Ray

Haven't tried documents to go, but very pleased with Quick Office
    Two reasons for choosing.
First of all it had good reviews - not just feedback on application site, but independent reviews.
Secondly I bought when on promotion

Unfortunately, neither Quick Office nor Docs to Go will give me an essential feature that Polaris includes - the ability to see what page you are on within a long document. I need this at meetings when I want to refer someone to a particular page when they are looking at a paper copy while I am viewing it on the phone.

Polaris does this by showing the header/footer accurately with its page number field. BUT it's no good if it only opens the first few pages (see first post).

Anybody know why it does this in some docs - and how can I fix it?

    Thanks, Ray
