How to boost the speed of my Samsung Galaxy S II?

Hello,

I would like to know how to boost the speed of my Samsung Galaxy S II. As of late, when typing a text message or bringing up a new window, it almost freezes and takes a while for either what I typed to show up or for a new window to load. What could be the problem? My phone is only a couple of months old

If you have many photo's, video's etc stored on your internal storage it can slow the phone down. Also an issue with the OS or an app that is conflicting with the system. Firstly I would move everything to an external sd card, then reformat the internal storage. If no improvement from this do a factory reset and clear all cache files.

Your problem will be resolved by following RichH's tips.
If you then want to speed up your S2 I can recommend Tegrak Overclock from the Play Store.
Used it for a year and works well and stable, with no discernable increase in battery drain.
