    Help!

Had an upgrade on my phone (Galaxy S2) and now somethings aren't working.

My battery doesn't last long. When my phone is plugged in to charge, the red light on the top right doesn't flash to let me know I have a text msg. Some of my apps didn't install correctly. What can I do to remedy this problem.

Do a factory reset and reload your apps. If the update was to ICS many apps require updating as the ICS framework is completely different to Gingerbread..... Back up your contacts, SMS/MMS, and anything you want to keep first. You can do a back upp with Samsung Kies software on your PC.

That's what I was afraid of. How can I find out if it was ICS?

4.04 is the latest ICS release for the S2. Back up to Kies and also go into Settings >Back up and reset and select the 2 tick boxes. This way after you have done the factory reset you can resync with Kies and Google's servers so it will make restoring your phone quick.....

I don't see a 'Back up and reset' under settings.

Found factory data reset under 'privacy', but no boxes to click on to sync up with Kies.

You need to install Kies on your PC, connect to phone with data cable and choose the back up option in Kies. http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/us...tware/KIES/JSP
Depending on your phone version you may not have back up and reset. What model number do you have ?
