Virus?

I may have a virus on my SG2 but having never come across the problem before am not sure.
My phone is rooted and operates on Android 4.0.3my ISP is Giffgaff.
Two days ago my screen startedto show alist which scrolls down the right hand side of the screen. It is in tiny script and keeps changing from 3or4 lines to lines covering the whole of the right side of the screen.
At the top is a line of numbers ie 08/1.41/0.75 but these keep changing.
The list below includes the following lines :
com.sec.android
app.clockpackage
system-server
com.android
systemmui
Kworker/u
surfacefinger
This is just a few of the lines, difficult to read as they. Constantly change.
The script is white but can change to green when the list gets long.
It is on my home screens and on my app screens, doesn't affect the running of the phone which works normally,apart from it makes it difficult to read.
I have tried a reset and have scanned with AVG which I have installed to no avail.
Can anyone help in fact has anyone had the same problem?

Go into Settings > Developer options and untick everything.

Thank you so much, did as you suggested, only one box ticked for" show cpu usage " unticked and bingo!! Don't know how the box got ticked. Thank you again.

It's easy to tick boxes when scrolling if you're not careful.....
