Email not working after upgrade to ICS 4.0.4

Email was working fine prior to upgrading to ICS 4.0.4. Now my Samsung Galaxy S2 does not connect to my Apple Icloud account. I cannot get my emails pushed to my phone now.

I have done a factory reset and still not working. Come on Samsung get these bug fixed.

I have the same problem. Cant even import my company mail through gmail. Did manage to recieve some mail but then when the mail refreshed it deleted the existing messages and wouldnt load any nes ones. Can any one post the mail app files from gingerbread? I was gonna try deleting the new ones.

Just set your mail up manually - Don't rely on the Auto settings......

If I still cant get it working. Ill root the phone delete the mail files from ics and install the ones from gingerbread. Which were working fine until my phone asked if i wanted to update. Really ought to be a rollback for shabby updates that mess up a working set up.

Did the manual set up again...Recieved the first E-mails fine. When it updated I got 8 mails that were Deleted before I could read them. I was left with only the most recent one. I used the recommended settings from My service provider (the company mail settings) I also used the same settings from my pc client. Now again I know I have mail on the server but the SII wont find them...I checked the mail server from my PC...I have 15 mails that the phone refused to retrieve. I think this is a pop 3 Issue.

Im not some thicko who cant set up a phone.

I had a problem with the Galaxy S which I fixed. Ok it wasnt my technical know how it was a day in google and some understanding.

If you think Im a thicko read this http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/show...in-Gingerbread

Seems like Im gonna have to spend a good deal of time in google to resolve the E-mail issue....Or just flash the phone back to Gingerbread (which I now have a deep understanding of) ( much deeper than when I wrote that guide)

No one uses POP anymore. If you are viewing email on multiple devices you must use IMAP.
I never suggested you were a thicko..... what gave you that idea?

Thanks got it working with Imap settings. Must be a problem with POP3 in ICS since it was working in gingerbread fine.

Was getting a bit frustrated last night. Was trying to get help from several places and everyone kept telling me to put in the settings manually and that I must not be doing it right.
