How to stop incoming call from going to answer machine o quickly??

Hi, my SGS 2 has started to divert to answer machine after only a couple of rings?!? How can I change the time phone rings before going to the answer machine?

I think on this one you may have to contact your network provider to adjust it for you.....unless there are options when you have dialled into voicemail itself.

On every other phone I have owned/used, there's always been an option in phone settings :-(( What about turning the answer machine off...........?

To set the ringing time, key in: **61*MailboxNumber**N# then press ok/send/call
(N is the number of seconds you want it to ring for up to a maximum of 30 seconds)

To cancel previous setting key in: ##61# then press ok/send/call. This will reset it to the network default

    For Example:

If your voicemail box number is: +44 7978 123 456, and you want your phone to divert to your voicemail after 20 seconds, you would key in:

    **61*+447978123456**20# and then press ok/send/call.

Depends on your firmware. Open your dialler (your keypad for dialing numbers) > menu key > settings. Look for something like voicemail settings or voicemail number.
I could be wrong, I usually am. (Because it's only a phone)

Hi, my firmware is the stock ICS upgrade I did when it was released. (XEU). I am on Vodafone, via Phones 4 you... Actually think its unbranded/unlocked.
    Thanks,

    Vodafone settings:
Tap **61*121*11* into your phone as if you're making a call.
Next enter a time between 5 and 30 (the number of seconds in multiples of 5)
Press # and then the call button. Don't put the phone to your ear - just look at the display until you see a message confirming your ring time has been set.
For example, **61*121*11*25# followed by the call button would set your ring time to 25 seconds.

This will only work if your mobile phone's on the Vodafone network and you have voicemail set up. To check if you do, tap in 121 and press the call button. If you don't have voicemail, you'll hear a message asking if you want it to be connected.

I know I have voicemail, as I retrieve them regularly..... It only seems to have started happening the last day or two (very short ringing before going to voicemail recorder)
