I updated my I9100 to 4.0.4 yesterday via kies and after that i can see that the stock messaging app has gone terribly slow. takes around 4-5 seconds to open up.Even after opening up if i try send message to someone takes again around 8-10 seconds to open up that person's messaging history with me (in between goes black for about 4-5 seconds). Faced the same issue with whatsapp too ... everything else seems to be working fine. Can someone plz help me with this.

Kies Air Borked all USB ports on 2 comp's!

I installed Kies on a desktop - Win 7 Pro and a new MSI laptop running W7 Ultimate. Updated to ICS 4.04 on my SGS2 with the laptop; everything went well, no problrms.

Then a day later I tried to transfer some files from a USB stick, and comp would not recognize the drive. All usb ports were affected on both comp's, and 4 usb drives.

Same usb drives worked OK on a XP system, without Kies installed. At first I thought MS Updates had broken "my stuff" again, so I did a "restore" to an earlier date and usb's were happy again.

Then I re-loaded Kies on the laptop, and instantly re-borked all 5 usb ports. even with Kies not running, no usb stick access.

So Kies is outta here till fixed.

Hi,

My SG2 updated to 4.0.4 a couple days ago and since then the screen has been locking up and the only way to unlock it has been to take out the battery and then restart the phone. I factory reset the phone but I still have this problem. I would prefer to not root my phone. But does anyone have some advice as to what I should do?
