My gmail email set up automatically without problems but I had to set my virginmedia account up manually as I kept getting connection timed out when trying it on auto.
Don't know about your brightness settings, try unticking auto in settings or look for a setting to show in notification bar or something like that.....

RichH my google account set up fine. However like you it is my Icloud email I have tried and tried and all I get is errors. What do you mean by manually setting it up

You will have to delete the account and start again. When you get the first screen where you put in user name and password, below is a tick box that says "Push". Untick it and you will get another option to use manual setup.

Having downloaded 4.0.4 the error "unfortunately Kaspersky mobile security has stopped" is displayed. Cannot get it to work and it causes the phone to freeze. Also having the same problem with the TW launcher - help!

Security software may need an update to work properly on 4.04. I suggest you check with Kaspersky. You will need to do a factory reset to clean out the old config files for TWL to function properly. Back up with Kies and Google first then you can restore afterwards but don't back up any system settings.

Right folks, finally upgraded to the latest ICS variant, at 02:05 this morning!!!! What a farce!!
I have continued this thread in this section as it is more appropriate.

Finally updated to ICS 4.04 at 02:05 this morning... I could not do the 3 finger reset, kept taking me to a screen which was titled Odin at the very top, and it just confirmed I was/an on stock rom, could do nothinng else with this screen, so used the onboard factory reset route, which meant I knowingly did nowt with the cache..
So, 4.04 is on, things seem to be working reasonably well, did manage a small back up first via KIES, but only backed up my memo's, internet settings, messages and call log, would not get back the preparing to back up screen if I tried to add contacts and photos to the back up..

I am going to now start to add my apps, but before I do, is their a changelog available for this upgrade? The reason I ask is that I have not restored any battery saver yet (Juice Defender) was my choice, but I have done 1/2 hr surfing and uploading via wi fi, had a 40 minute phone call and my battery has hardly been touched! and its been off charge sine 08:00 so its been alive for 5 hours thus far, usually I am down to around 50%-60& by now, I cannot sat what percentage its at, because I have not restored a tool to do that yet.

So to recap, Need changelog, need to know how to clear cache and need someone to confirm how to do the 3 finger reset?
I will keep you up to date on how the phone behaves over the next 24-48 hrs. Comments Welcome...
