Can Phone Ring but all else silent or vibrate?

Is there a way to have the phone ring and have all other notifications either silent or vibrating? I use my cell as my primary phone and it would be nice while I sleep to hear the phone ring and not hear all the other sounds the phone makes for notifications and stuff like that.

I had a blackberry prior to this phone and I was able to easily do that with sound options. I don't see the same option with this phone.

    Thanks

Check under settings > Sound > Volume.

You should be able to mute them all apart from Ringtone

Have a look at a free app called Llama which could be configured to your requirements.
I could be wrong, I usually am. (Because it's only a phone)

Go into your email/messaging client and press left Menu button. In Settings you can select a ring tone or silent.

OK, I took a screen capture of my Sound Settings and so which options are you saying I should use to accomplish this?

It would be awesome if Samsung gave definitions of each setting option so you know what you are truly selecting.

If I understand your requirements correctly, you want just the call volume on but all other notifications off at night, then everything on during the day.

Llama will do that. You can set it up to mute everything except calls between certain times automatically without needing to manually do it yourself each night.

I have Llama turn of all sounds at work, then back on out of work. It also turns on my wifi when I get home.

Check it out. It's free from Google Play (the market).

    If stonkr's idea doesn't work.

In the second picture, if you un-mark silent mode, you should able to access the Option 'Volume'.

Then you should see something like (ICS):

    Media
    # o-------------------
    Ringtone
    # -------------------o
    Notifications
    # o-------------------
    System
    # o-------------------

Your's mite be different, or this don't work
