Turning email notifications off doesn't shut them off.

I have followed the instructions for turning off notification sounds and LED lite for emails. But, it does not work. All last night it was sounding and flashing.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm using Gmail.

    Thanks, Jodi

How did you go about turning them off?

My I suggest you un-sync your gmail account. This will stop emails coming to your phone, Then just sync when you want them to start again

The problem is even after turning off the gmail notifications, I still keep getting a notification sound and the light flashes...all night long.

I finally turned off the sync and am just syncing manually as you said. But, still...this seems like a flaw. When you shut the notifications off they should stay off.

I'll see what happens on mine later, as I turn flight mode on when I sleep

Hi Try turning the notifications off in your gmail setting on the mobile this may sort the issue for you. Also go to settings> LED indicator and untic the missed event.
