    Adjust the Touch Screen Sensitivity

    Hello,

I have just purchased the S2 and the touch screen it to sensitive for me. Is there an option to adjust the tap sensitivity that only when I really “push” the screen the operation start?

    Thanks,
    Ziv

No, sorry. It's designed that way. Cheaper phones need a harder press on the screen and much less accuracy.

As Rich says, no. The screen does not operate by pushing it.

It is capacitive. It reacts to the electrical energy in your finger, just by touch alone.

For what reason do you want to reduce the sensitivity? Is it for a specific reason or application? Maybe we could help solve your problem a different way.

    And, welcome to the forum.

    Hello,

Thanks for your help Rich and stonkr and for the warm welcome

I am trying to reduce the sensitivity because it is so often happen that only by minor touch on the screen unwanted operation starts (and I promise you, I am not clumsy person).

    Best Regards,
    Ziv

If for example you are scrolling through menu's or screens, just place your finger on the screen then move it all in one movement, rather than stabbing at the screen first. It is the "On/Off" action that activates the operation rather than just the "touch"......

Any touch with your hand on the screen will cause a screen activation. Whether anything happens depends what is displayed and what input options are active, like buttons, text input areas etc.

Your phone has no way to discriminate between deliberate and unwanted touches.

I think it needs a little learning curve on your part, but you'll adapt quickly I have no doubt.

There is a fix for this, but you need to be rooted.
