    I'm stuck...again!

I played with the camera to learn how to use it, and I'm learning. I installed Kies and dowloaded all my photos on my PC.

But the problem I have is that I am unable to delete the photos on the S3... They are all in the "Galery" and I can see them, modifiy them etc... but I can't find how to delete them. I tried all the different options that I could fine, even looked into the file icon, nothing.

If you tap on the picture you should see "send via" and "delete" at the bottom of the screen?
Alternatively, go to "My Files" and find the folder called "DCIM" and delete them all from there.....

You can also long press the picture or folders of pictures and it will have a light blue border, you should also notice the Share/Delete/More options buttons on the top right of the screen.

    Nope!!!

They are not in the DCIM file, and I checked the others like Photo, Pictures...not there.

Tried that Tufftoad there's no share or delete. Only the list of applications like: Picasa; dropbox; gmail etc...
The other option once clicked shows Detail.
Nothing shows up with the option below on the left.

In the window when I open the galary there's two pictures. The one at the top, just above there's a mention PC-with my first name and just under that a zero "0". If I click on that then the whole serie of photos appears, they are 12 on the screen and I can move them page by page. If I click on one it become one photos and all the others are on a strip below. At the top of the screen there is a mention: "Instant transfer".

The option button below: select an element; and group by. These are my translation from french, so maybe not the correct words.

Go into camera app, settings, and look for the save path. This will show you where on the phone they are saved to. Navigate to the directory in My files and delete from there. Make sure you are looking on the correct SD card as "SD Card" is internal and the other "ext_SD" external (if fitted).

Good point RichH, on my S3 the camera defaults to the external sd card rather than the phone's internal sotrage.

I looked at the setting after opening the camera, but there's nothing there that leads to a "safe path", only setting for the camera. I did a search in the files for galery, photos. Only found Picasa files that I deleted...but the pictures are still in the Galery.
When I open the galery, there's the two pictures I mentionned and in them there's the wheel, the icon of picasa and above that "instant transfer". Could it be that it is available for instant transfer and somehow «I have to do something to transfer them and then delete them?
I tried that but it says that it is impossible to to recuperate the info from the account...does that help?

I don't think those pictures are "on your phone". It sounds like they are either within the Picassa app or on cloud storage.....

I looked into Picasa and they aren't there. I tried to transfer them into Picasa but nothing I tried worked. It says that they are transferred, but they don't get in Picasa. Even when I selected some and the rubbish can appeared...they still stay there.
What other options can there be to find where they are so as to delete them? I looked into Kies and saw them there, I deleted them all...but still in the Galery.

This is frustrating! I don't have a "cloud" so where can they be and why do they stay in the Galery?

If I had pictures on my phone and I wanted to know where they were, I would connect my phone to the PC and use windows explorer to search the device for *.jpg*
This will list all pictures on your device (with the extension jpg). If the computer doesn't find any pictures then you could clear the cache for the Gallery from Settings > Applications (running applications) > Click on the 'Gallery' app > Clear cache.
