I bought the power set Scala G4 recently for myself and my partner. Connected the phones to the Scala Unit. I was running Android 4.3.5 and had absolutely no problems. My partner was running Android 4.3.3 and whenever we connected through the intercom her music would stop playing and not begin again. This is not a problem I had.
So I updated the Scala G4 software on both units, and then updated both of our Android Samsung handsets to the latest update, I believe this is the Ice Cream Sandwich update.
Now we are both having major problems with the Scala units and the phones. Initially mine will play music, but if I click to connect to the intercom system the music starts to play on the SII and then won't begin again, I also cannot connect to the intercom on the other Scala unit.
I have reset the Scala Units, repaired them according to the manual. All to no effect.
This problem of the music stopping, and playing on the SII, was the problem that my partner had with 4.3.3 but it was not a problem I had with 4.3.5, and has obviously reappeared for both of us on the ICS update.
I don't think this is a software issue, I am of the opinion that this is a settings problem, because for the issue to exist, then disappear in one update, only to reappear on a later update, all seems a bit too suspect. My settings have been reset so I am hoping it is that.
Anyone got any ideas?
I have also contacted Scala, but after seeing a couple of posts around the net, their "tech support" does not have a good reputation. Worst case scenario, I reject the goods as not as advertised, since they don't do what they claim to do on the packet, but I would much rather fix this issue, as when mine was working, it was pretty awesome.
