Hi my mobile has suddenly started to restart intermitatntly when I put my mobile on in the morning and start to use it half way through what I am doing it will just restart this will then continue to happen and I cannot get anything finished including texting. I hope to reflash soon but I am not at my normal home so cannot do so and need my mobile, any suggestions welcome. I have also uninstalled any apps that were recently downloaded.

What you are describing is force closing - the phone is not switching itself on, but is switching itself off and then restarting.
This is usually down to software conflicts and a factory reset and clear cache will usually resolve it.
WARNING: If you installed any Open Europe firmware from sammobile.com DO NOT factory reset as it can brick your phone.

If you're not sure of your firmware, dial *#1234# on your phone.
This is the firmware NOT to factory reset:
    GT-I9100 -
    PDA: I9100XXLQ5
    CSC: I9100OXALQ5
    Version: 4.0.4
    Date: 2012-06-28

Thanks greenmail will I loose all my apps as in pretty intense games of scramble.I have my firmware on my mobile odin will that be ok. Also I have saved firmware from before. Do reckon I should just do the update when I get home. It only seems to do itwhen I turn mobile on. After about 6 restart and if I leave it alone for a bit it seems to settle. Good to know u r about to ask. Pluto

Now you've shared this - the pretty intense games, it could be a memory shortage or app conflict.
Start with a memory clean. You can do this more easily with an app like history eraser, but others available.
In ICS Settings there is a Back up and Restart to Google servers that does a very good job of reinstalling your phone, if you decide to Factory reset, but can't guarantee that game cache files will be returned.

Hi Greenman, thanks for your advice once again, I downloaded the history eraser and it did not work the mobile kept restarting but it seemed to happen only on first start up and if I went on the internet either through google play or just the url google.com. I would love to know what it was that caused it. However on the positive side I am back home again and I went on Sammobile and downloaded ICS 4.0.4 and reflashed it which worked first time and after a bit on research I have even rooted again and got my apps back too.
now I am getting slightly more confiedent with this reflashing... Can I put the jellybean on the s2 and if so what it the firmware I need and how. Pluto

Your restarting those circumstances could happen if you didn't allow the phone to completely start up, before asking it to carry out a task.
Regarding the 4.0.4, if you installed the Open Europe version DO NOT factory reset as it can brick your phone (and you've had enough of that)
At he time of posting about the Open Europe 4.0.4 the problems were not known.
Other versions - Poland, Russia, Nordic Countries are fine.
If worried, sammobile tell you to flash back to gingerbread, and then flash another 4.0.4 if you want to.

Stock jellybean (4.1.x) not available yet.

Hi Greenman, thanks for the info, to date I have had no problems with 4.0.4 so shall keep my fingures crossed. I will also look forward to the Jellybean arrival. Also still waiting for the Amazon app I have emailed Amazon to ask for an update, if there is anything to report back I shall put it on the forum. Pluto
