    Unhappy Low on space

i've Galaxy S2 and had big problem made me frustrated.
I'd LOW ON SPACE notification about internal phone storage although i've 5 GB free on USB storage and 6 GB on external SD card.
i've tried everything and move alot of programms from internal memory to SD card but in vain.
i'd one programm to check the space and it indicated that on internal storage all applications takes space of 347 MB, and system data is 1,528 MB which means that problem is not related to installed programm but became of system data.
previously i downloaded gingerbread version 2.3.6.

so please advise if this version is taken 1,528 MB or may be old version files still in internal memory and need to be clean, and if so, need to know how to clean it to solve this issue as i can't download or install any new programms also phone start hanging and became slower...

    thanks for help

Sounds to me like you need to factory reset and clear cache from the Recovery Menu. As you are on 2.3.6 it may be a good time to update to ICS, if available for your phone.

I hope factory reset will be my last option, but how to remove cash from recovery menu?
also i think i'll not be able to upgrade to ICS since there's no internal space.

I think Greenman is referring to the Dalvik Cache in the recovery menu. All you do is select clear cache.

Do you know how to get into the recovery menu?

The current internal space will be replaced by the ICS firmware., so you don't not need additional space.
To get into Recovery Menu, press and hold the volume up + Home button + Power button until in Recovery Menu.

i tried to get into recovery menu as you mentioned but after short press of power button screen shot have been taken.
and long press my phone starts!!

guys if even i'm trying to install ICS my phone won't accept to download source files because of low space...this is my point
otherwise i've to download the source in my PC and transfer to SD card to start installing..
please correct me if i'm wrong..

    thanks for your support

First if all, you have to press and hold 3 buttons, and if you select in the order I mentioned it will work.
Secondly, have you tried connecting to Kies through your pc to see if you have an update?
If not, you can flash ICS to your phone by using a programme called Odin.
The process is to download a firmware to your computer.
    Connect your phone.
    Start Odin.

I tried to open recovery menu but phone closed and didn't open again for more than 1 min. unlese i released the butons and the menu didn't appear.
Also i tried via Kias to check update firmware but messge showed (GT-I9100G' does not support initializing) .
i think even the reason that i can't open recovery menu is my phone modle, shall i try Odin or it'll give same result!
