Email notification issue

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with email notifications. I don't want a sound notification each time an email arrives but I do want the envelope to show in the upper left hand corner.

I've changed the email notification sound via email/more/account settings/notification settings/select ringtone/silent however it doesn't seem to register the change to silent.

I've also changed via menu/settings/sound/notifications/notifications ringtone/silent with the same result.

It has annoyed me so much that I've even done a factory reset to try and start fresh but still the same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't want any notification sounds, easiest way is to go to Settings > Sound > Default notification and select silent.,
For specific help on your email notifications, say which one you are using - gmail, hotmail, stock email as all slightly different, although generally in Settings, but as you've tried this you're missing something.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried all of those steps without success. Any other ideas?
