Classic symptoms of an ics update without a factory reset and clear cache from the Recovery Menu.
Virgin should have told you to do this, otherwise bits of Gingerbread come along and conflict,as they are in your case.
You can do this now, but backup first - ics has helped by having back up and Reset in the Settings menu, but you can also do a Kies backup for good measure.
    Now press and hold
Volume up + Home Button + Power button until in blue writing of Recovery menu.
Use volume key to select factory reset and power button to action.
Now do the same for Clear cache.
    Now reboot.
