Are reported wifi issues a real problem?

    Hi all,
    *
I get my SGS3 delivered tomorrow but noticed after a bit of interbrowsing today that lots of people are complaining about WiFi connection problems.
The most common complaint seems to be that even with a good WiFi signal, no data is being transferred.
    *
Are many people here experiencing WiFi connectivity issues or am I just stumbling across the vocal minority?
    *
    Ta,

This is the first time I've heard of this (I think, my memory is not so good).

Anyway, I don't suffer from such problem. Either that or I just haven't noticed

I have had it now and then. Pull down the notification bar, switch Wifi off, then back on and it's fine.

Same here no problems with wifi on my S3. IIRC this was an issue with the S2.

Same here no problem with wifi.

I would say that you shouldn't worry about a problem until you cross it. If your SGS3 does have a problem...just send it back.

Just make sure your wifi sleep policy is set to never.

Menu > Settings > wifi (click on field not toggle) > Advanced > Keep Wi-fi on during sleep > select always.

Those of you that keep both Data and Wifi on may want to take note, especially if you have limited data. If the phone idles and locks the wifi will turn itself off and the data signal will kick in.
