Is it worth updating on ICS or just keep Gingerbread ?

Hello fellow members of this great forum.

I got myself a Samsung Galaxy SII 2 days ago and im considering updating to the official ICS firmware but seeing posts from various users made me wonder if that's a good idea after all the reporting of poor battery life and other serious problems.

So i would like your opinion about this one here.I wouldn't like to flash a custom rom just now.

And im really sorry if this question has been asked again several times. If so mods please delete this thread , i just searched around a bit and couldn't find an answer to my question.

    Thank you everyone in advance.

    PS The phone is amazing

You won't find an answer - just opinion, as it's that kind of question you are asking! I am happy with ICS and there are no "serious" problems but ICS may not be for you. If you are happy with GB, stay with it. If you like to be up-to-date, go for ICS......

No problems here with ICS, and for me battery life is a lot better than GB.

Was early user of ics (beta versions) and liked the additional apps it brought - the most notable being Google Chrome browser. You get your pc bookmarks on your phone, and is generally quicker.
Like many ics users there were problems with battery. Overcame this by returning to gingerbread, then returning to ics after a factory resaet and clearing cache. The clean ics install cleared the problems, so thoroughly recommend.
