Hey guys, I have a problem with my SGS2 that i've been ignoring, but it's getting kind of annoying: My phone goes to screen lock immediately after a busy call. Anyone have this problem? Is there a way to fix it? It happened in Gingerbread and it is still happening with ICS. Happened when phone was not rooted and again after I rooted it.

Sorry, I thought there were different forums and this one really helped me out last time. Also, I could not enter a new thread in the SGS2 forum.

It's not a screen-time out issue is it? Try increasing the screen time out in the display settings?

Nope. It has nothing to do with the length of the call. It ONLY happens when I dial call and it is busy on the other end. The calls that go through or that I receive have much longer time-outs with the proximity sensor so it is counter-intuitive.

If no other problems with your ICS go to 'battery'
    Otherwise, first of all:
    1. Go to Settings > back up and reset and tick
    Back up my data
    Automatic restore

You can also connect to Kies and take a backup there for extra security and to save contacts and sms.

    2. Press and hold volume up + Home button + Power button until in blue Recovery screen
    3. Use Volume key to hilight 'wipe data/factory reset' and power button to select
    4. Use Volume key to hilight 'wipe cache partition' and power key to select.
    5. No 'Reboot system now'
    6. Your phone will be as purchased, but with ICS, so you will have to put in your WiFi password, and Google address once more.
    7. Your apps will be installed via the google restore, so give it time.

    Battery:
To improve your battery you need to run the phone until it turns itself off.
Now with phone off, fully charge.
Run phone again until it turns itself off and recharge in 'off' mode.
This will reset your charging chip.

I would advise doing both of above, but understand that factory reset is a big step so can do later if no improvement.
Well, I could not solve the battery drain and overheating problems, so I finally bit the bullet and did a factory reset as outlined above. I followed the instructions to a tee (these are the same ones I received from Samsung Tech Support), but now I get the following message on my screen: "Unfortunately, twlauncher has stopped"

I can no longer use the phone, access any menus (if they even exist), or reinstall my data from KIES (Kies does not even recognize that my phone is connected). Basically, I swipe the lock screen, get an error message about the twlauncher, and then I have either a black screen or default wallpaper screen and the upper toolbar with WI-FI connection (I can connect to WI-FI). I can also drag down the top screen, but there is not much I can do from there and pressing on any options freezes the screen.

My phone is an unlocked International European version GT-i9100 and was rooted using SU-Busybox and Recovery Clockwork Touch. You had walked me through this.

Once again, I am not that advanced in my understanding of rooting and flashing rom, etc. so I would really appreciate if you (or anyone else) coud walk me through any procedures step-by-step.

    Thanks!!!
