First install Titanium backup and Clear out all those apps you don't use from Samsung.
If not sure whether safe to un install, use the 'freeze' option.
Also make a backup, and all future firmware updates will be easier.
BTW If you factory reset or flash new firmware you will lose root, so hang on to those files.

Stupid question, but what does it mean to 'flash' something? I see it all over and am not sure what the process entails. Second, which files are you suggesting that I hang onto if i have to factory reset, etc.? Tnx!

Save the two files you have just used to root your phone.
As for the apps to delete/freeze, you don't need to delete any, but if like me, you do not use Readers hub or othrr Samsung hubs, you can safely delete them.

    Sorry,you asked what 'flashing' is.
Well, on a phone it is the process of replacing one firmware or part firmware with another.

Thanks! You have been a big help!!!

I downloaded TItanium Free Edition and tried to delete Game Hub, but it will not delete it. It starts to, then just stops. When I click on the app icon, it starts the Game Hub normally.

Also, I cannot freeze any apps with the free edition, only delete them. Will this cause problems in the case of a Samsung software upgrade?

To use TB you need to turn on USB debugging, if you don't it wont delete or freeze apps.

I turned on USB debugging, but the app says that freezing is only allowed in the PRO version. As for deleting apps, I had no trouble with any of the others except Game hub, which I cannot delete no matter what i try.

I have just tried it on mine and it worked ok. I backed it up first then froze it and then deleted it. Mind I do have the full version of TB.

Like I said, I have the free version. If I want to freeze anything, I have to "donate now". And, deleting this particular app does not seem to work on the free version. The delete window pops up for a second and then immediately disappears without completing the task.

Just pay for the pro version. You can then set auto backups as well as getting rid of all the boatware apps.
