    APNdroid?

Ive got this app just to confirm it turns of GPRS, EDGE, and 3G networks. So say if im going abroad, I dont want to rack up a high bill, I suppose I would just turn this off.

But under settings, network settings, I can select 2g Network only, does this not do the same thing, so is there a need for APNdroid???

    thanks

If you select 2G only, it will still connect to the internet, but it will be slower and spend less battery.. your bill will still be high though

i used to use APNdroid to turn on/off 3G, but it didnt work always.. Had to reboot the phone for it to actually enable back 3G at times.. have moved to SwitchPro, you might want to try that
