Galaxy S camera phone issues

This will be the third SGS phone. Nice phone though. I swapped it from a HTC that was always in technical service for hard starts. Only thing about this galaxy is if I use the camera function and I don't shut down the function properly, the phone will lock out and I will have to power down the phone and turn back on.

It's been annoying lately since I'm using the camera for job photos more and more.

Is there a fix for this? I don't want to go back to HTC but their phone camera never had a locking out phone problem.

Try going into Settings > Applications > All and finding Camera and Clear Data. This will not delete your photos, but the camera operational data.
Go back to Applications and restart Camera.
If this doesn't help look at where you're storing your pictures. If on phone you may be running out of memory. Save to external sd card to resolve this.
If that doesn't work, try another camera application from the Play Store.

Instagram is a good example of a free camera app. Even if you chose not to share the pics, they are still stored on your phone. You don't get all the fancy effects, but if you just want a basic camera function, it'll be fine.
