    Can I Look For 5ghz Before 2.4ghz?

I don't know if this is a Galaxy question or more and Android issue, but is there a way to make your phone look for 5ghz networks before opting for 2.4ghz? I only noticed because we were working on this network job where the radios were broadcasting both bands, the 2.4ghz was getting crushed, but the 5ghz barely had any users on it at all. It was really frustrating my phone kept connecting to the 2.5ghz radio. All the iPhone users were giving me total shit over it, as of course all their phones were defaulting to 5ghz. Also if I can't make it look for 5ghz first, can I force it to use it? This seems like a really easily corrected flaw, I hope I'm just overlooking something stupid. Thanks!

You can select Auto, 5 or 2.4 Ghz in Advanced wifi settings. Just hit menu in wifi screen and advanced option comes up.

If I select auto will this permanently change the settings in my native WiFi manager from here on in, or will I need to run this program every time I want to use it's features?

I guess I'm just frustrated my laptop is sitting here, 5 bars, and my brand new phone has got 2 bars. Perhaps I should just let my OCD go :P

Auto is the default setting, but you can override by selecting 5 or 2.4 GHz

It does not effect what connections you already have saved - It's only for scanning for networks.
