    Flash to remove 3 branding

    Where can i get all the files to flash a S3 with the standard firmware?

    i have flashed some phones before but this is the first time that i have planed to do a contract phone, is it best i take it to a shop to do it? what would that cost?

    Steps to de-brand are:
    1. Unlock the phone - can be free from network, DIY or phone shop (approx £15)
    2. Flash open firmware from sammobile.com

    Can you explain a bit more on the unlocking and how to flash it to the phone

    I'm not aware that any of the unlocking apps work with ICS, but they do work with GB. One option is to flash GB branded FW then unlock with SGS Unlock off Play then flash unbranded ICS. A bit long winded but will save you the shop costs if your network won't do it for free.

    You can try to flash without unlocking, but you may have issues.
    Flashing after unlocking is generally much safer.
    Your choice.
