S2 behaves as if actively charging when disconnected

galaxy s2 (ice cream sundae) randomly emits charging beep and displays charging icon when disconnected. it will continue to beep for upi to an hour. It has also appeared to reboot when idle. i have uninstalled any recent apps and ran anti malware to no effect
any advice?

Its a problem with your charging port on phone, either dirty or damaged. Many threads on here if you use search function. Try cleaning the port with a tooth pick/brush, compressed air etc but be careful as they are easily damaged which maybe the problem anyway.
