    Might have to.

I have also asked same question on XDA, so may get some joy from there.

There are some guides about (On xda and others) how to get the recovery/Download mode working on the models that had it blocked.

Also the USB jig should work and maybe part of the solution for the above line

I am thinking it's either the usb jig or it has to go to a T-mobile shop for flashing, as it is impossible to get the phone to boot up.

Well the phone is now fixed.

I took a chance and made the journey.

The usb jig did the trick and forced it into download mode.

Now it has the very latest T-mobile firmware which is what he wanted.

I recently bricked my Galaxy S5690 Xcover and stuck in boot loop.

I need to know how to fix this. I know I probably need to reflash using odin.

But what firmware/rom do I need ? Do i need pit file etc.

Search www.sammobile for your region / phone / etc then unzip the download. You will get one file which you put into the PDA section on Odin.

I've never used one of these phones before but will advise on how I would deal with Galaxy.

First of all it would be handy to know how the boot loop came about? Firmware update, flashing something through Odin etc?

If you can boot into recovery mode then carrying out a factory reset might help. On the International galaxy phones recovery mode is accessed by:
Pressing and holding all of the following buttons in order Vol+, Home button and then Power button.

Else flashing the same firmware you have the moment, through Odin, should do the trick. Do you know what firmware version you were on?

Edit: Essentially all of this would have been covered on this thread already.

Boot loop comes from firmware update with odin. It only says "Fail". That was my first time to do that.

Phone won't do anything, it won't boot in the recovery mode or download mode. I know these buttons what you meant. It only shows that screen.

Firmware was newest, I only wanted to update it because I had lost some parts of it. I had rooted the phone and used Link2sd and I linked some appcations what I shouldn't have linked.
