Auto Correct / Dictionary For Texting/E-Mailing on S3

Hi Guys

I have recently gotten my Galaxy S3 but cannot work out how to turn on auto correct/dictionary when using text or E-Mail?

Any help would be great

Have an S2 but guess it's similar.
Go to Menu > Settings > Language and input > Keyboard and input methods and there is an icon to right of Samsung IME or your chosen input method.
Settings are in there.

BTW In the Play Store, SwiftKeyX is currently half price. I think it's much better than stock, especially if you are like me and have dyslexic fingers.

Thanks very much for the advice. I followed your instructions, but there is nothing there regarding the dictionary or auto correct/spell check?

Do you have any other suggestions?

2 more things: 1) What is the difference between SwiftKey 3 free version and the paid for version? Do these keyboards come with spell check etc?

Re: SwiftKeyX, the difference is probably advertising on the free.
SwiftKeyX learns from your typing style and offers the next word in anticipation. I find it very accurate and therefore your typing is often reduced to a one tap for a word.

If what you are looking for is not in Settings go into the app and press Menu and select settings to see if there.

BTW I'm surprised that the predict mode XT9 is not available, and if selected there is an XT9 advanced setting where spell check can be activated.

The swipe app on the S3 is a bit of a let down.. a better option is to download Swype apk and install it... easy and doesn't require root or any hocus pocus.. it's very familiar if you've had the S or S2 and works a treat on the 3..get it from here ..http://db.tt/bymnGD93

I recommend swiftkey x as well, fantastic app and just been updated to v3, I got it on offer for 10p a while back.
