    overclock the Galaxy S

    *for 2.1 only

    OC120v1.1.tar

    flash as PDA using odin3

kernel will support overclocking up to 1.2GHz
use an app like SetCPU to overclock

if you need to flash back, the JM2 kernel can be found here

    thanks to Leshak

What would be the advantage of this? This is anyway the fastest smartphone around, what will change exept from the battery life?

with that same attitude why not just set a 600mhz limit and save even more battery life. itll make everything faster, if that doesnt appeal to you my suggestion for you would be to not dl it.

Just wonder where is slowness on your phone, because mine most of the time just flies, exept maybe in LauncherPro when I assign application to a dock icon, I have to wait for list of application up to 6 seconds or so, but then o/c it it will bring it down to 5 which is not much of a difference IMHO.
Will wait for your test and opinion anyway

Hmmmmm.....I used to have Set CPU on my Galaxy S but it caused it to go to sleep and not wake up all the time. Although I'd love to try this, I think I'll just be happy with the new lag fix and standard clocking.
