How do you remove recently viewed apps

Helllo to everyone,i am new on here! I have a samsung galaxy s GT 19000.I can view the last 6 apps i've looked at by long pressing the home button.What i want to know is,how can i delete them so the box is empty and no one can see what apps i've been on? If so how? I know you can do this because there were only 3 apps in there the other day- the bottom row was empty...someone is snooping in my phone and they know how to do it! Please help ! Cath

I have an S2 and can swipe task to left to remove.
If you can't do that the usual android way is to press and hold to get a delete option.

How wierd!!!
The swipe to remove is an ICS feature so probably not available on your phone?
If you are concerned that someone else is using your phone why not set a PIN to unlock in security settings?
