email set up

Hi, I am a newbie here. my kids bought me aan S2 galaxy. Like the phone heaps but I am trying to set up my bigpond email (australia) as my primary eamil and having zero luck. Is it possible to set up any email other than gmail onan android phone (always had nokias of some type) My bigpond adress is known to so m,any i don't want to start using gmail- or - can i attach make my bigpond email to gmail. sorry tech savvy not high this end. appreciate help!

Yes, you can set up other email. I've forgotten how to do it as I only use gmail now but I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Best way of getting email on an android phone is via your google account.
1. Go to your Gmail account on the computer.
2. Click on Settings (the cog icon on right)
3. Go to 'Accounts and Import'
4. Then 'Import mail and contacts' then 'Import from another address' and put in your email account and password.

You can then go to 'Send mail as': and decide whether to send mail with your gmail or bigpond address.

If bigpond uses IMAP you can set all your details in the Gmail app on the phone

Damn, guess I have to boot my laptop to do it, I don't get the option on my phone or iPad. On iPad I do have a settings tab in gmail but no option to import other email. Poop.

have cappy running cwm7.2/glitch(I like gb)
I have reset/wiped/reflashed.now stock email wont connect to server.have entered
pertinate info(inappropriate or pop3).have
confirmed user/pass info.done manuel set
up.have setup email in the past this way.
anybody have ideas?would uninstall/reinstall stock email apk help?any help would be appreciated.thx
