    Kies?

I have installed Kies on my laptop, company, but I cannot connect.

All I see is the "Device attached. Samsung Mobile MTP Device" message repeatedly but it never actuall installs the drivers.

Could this be because of Lumension Sanctuary running as well?

    Cheers ears
    GN

My advice would be to forget about Kies, it's a useless piece of software and gives nothing but trouble. If you looking to update your firmware use Odin instead.

My friend at work is also having trouble saying that her SGS2 is connecting but never does, she has to update via Kies as she has no interest in updating via Odin.

If I come across a solution I'll let you know.

I must be lucky as Kies hasn't given me the trouble that some seem to suffer with it ( course that's probably put the kiss of death on mine now ! ). I used it with my old Samsung Monte and when I changed to the SGS II it just carried on.
For info my Kies version is 2.3.2.12054_18 though I have been prompted that version 2.3.2.12054_20 is available but I haven't updated it yet. My SGS II is running ICS and isn't rooted if that helps at all

Open up Kies attach phone and wait. When you are sure the drivers are installed remove phone, tick USB debugging and then reconnect. This should do it.
