    Problem with notifications

    Hi!

I have a very annoying problem with my Galaxy S II. When updated it to Android 4 I stopped receiving notification from various apps on my notification bar (at the top).
So for example: Facebook and Facebook Messenger doesn't show me when somebody wrote a new status on commented on my own etc./ Gmail doesn't show me that I have received a new e-mail and even Draw Something doesn't send me any notifications.

I noticed that sometimes when I switch from Wi-Fi connection to Data I suddenly get some of the notifications or they are about 5-7 hours late. When I was on 3.6.6 this problem occurred less often.
Why is this happening and is there any way to fix it? Is it the matter of the phone or the applications?

I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

I would guess it's the apps that are not updated or optimised for ICS. It will take some time for the dev's to get round to updating all the apps. You could try reinstalling the apps to see if it helps. Did you do a factory reset after updating to ICS?

I think you meant 2.3.6 as Android 3 was for tablets only. Factory reset will wipe your settings, apps, contacts etc.
You could try a factory reset, jumping from Android 2.* to 4.* may be causing a conflict.
