hey imad my brother from another mother what's up

welcome to the forums mate and to answer your questions here we go:

1- No you will not lose your Android OS (is that even possible?) BUT you will lose all your DATA such as apps and messages etc... therefore please backup your data before using this method.

2- No you will not void your warranty since this method DOESN'T change your firmware (you are NOT reflashing firmwares); instead it changes your phone's region to another region that supports android market (as you already know UAE doesn't support the market).

3- No there is no way you would brick your phone since this method does not require you to enter into recovery mode or reflashing your firmware; what it does is that it changes your phone's region WITHIN the phone settings itself so don't worry.

hope this helps you out imad and if you need further assistance please let me know

@Abood I'm glad that this method worked with you brother Happy downloading!

you need to be on official fw, and in test mode. to get to test mode(which is only available with the latest v of kies) connect ur phone and launch the fw updater, press ok about the widget warning thing or whatever that is that comes up, then press alt+ctrl+u+p and a window should pop up saying test mode is on. i had to update from stock jf3 to jm1 via kies, then test mode to jpc. it took a while.

Thanks a lot for answering my questions. I really appreciate it. I will give it a try and see how it goes.

I also just wanted to ask you:

    1. Were you able to access paid and free apps on Market and were you able to access Appbrain (if you tried it)?

    2. If for some reason I wanted to restore the default settings can I do that by reversing the same proccess that I changed it with?

    3. I did it! but when try and download an app it says "download unsuccessful" (for example i tried to download Facebook app from market but it didn't work). The same has happened with many of the other apps.
Note: When i punch in the 272 code thing and my phone restarts is that the hard reset or do i have to do it after the phone restarts?

I've tried it and it works. Once you do it your phone will hard reset and once it turns on u will have android market on your phone.

In one of my earlier posts i mentioned i had trouble downloading apps, but it seems to be fine now, somehow

The good thing is that this method will not void your warranty
