    What do you Dislike

    About your SGS TripleEye.

Some don't like the size, some the style, others the screen

Now mine, although not really just an S3 problem.

Are the USB modes. MTP or PTP.

These give me no end of problems when I connect to my computer and what I really hate, is I can't just use the phone as a hard drive.
Instead I had to find some software (windows and apple more likely to have the needed software installed), which could be a bit buggy. Or not want to work

All this just so I can use it like before. Why leave the USB block mode out

I haven't found any other dislikes, so what are yours

The program I use is called gMTP.

I don't like it when everytime I go to use it I realise it's still not been delivered yet!

Know what you mean about the connection thing, though. You can set the eye eye to mass storage then connect it, has this gone in the triple?
I could be wrong, I usually am. (Because it's only a phone)

    Carl.
Untick 'auto brightness' in the Display settings, that bugs me too. Only encountered the problem a couple of times but the weather hasn't been the best.

The pre-installed 'Swipe' (not really Swype) is pants, you cannot select and change words and is fiddly. Don't like the idea of a hub for each type of media and an app that suggests things to you, all of this can be combined into one app.

Other than that, I'm very happy with the device. All of the above problems can be resolved with rooting so really not an issue.

I did...it's still poor even when whacked up to max brightness..
I roooted my S1 and S2 and went down the custom rom route.. Darky, Miui, team Klang etc so with my 3 i'm staying stock so I can use apps like Barclays Pingit and the movies in google play... i'm actually enjoying the stock look and experience.

I could of missed it, but I think it's the same on the Nexus, not sure about the Note.

Haven't had the problem with brightness, it's fairing better than the SGS would have done for me. Screen Filter also works, to dull the screen down when I need too

Have just found out while writing this post:

Me too, have always used customs roms, including darky and F1 but not this time. I can play with hubbys s2 if I get flashitis (which I do a lot!) To be honest I dont dislike anything about my SIII, cant think of a single thing and still discovering new little "touches". I think all big screens suffer in the sun from glare but as we dont see much of that its not a problem. Will post again if I do find anything that annoys me but not yet.

When I connect my S3 to my laptop with USB debugging ticked it appears as a phone. When you click on the phone in my computer it opens the files and I can drag and drop stuff to and from it directly. Do you not do that? You can see all the files on it.

Posted this on my S3 news (or Nwes) thread:

So was reading through XDA for resolution to the my Swype problem. Those of you that have tried to install Swype Beta may have been getting the parse error appear.

http://db.tt/bymnGD93 - this link was found on XDA site, was posted by another user so not sure who the Original Poster is....but thank you!!!!

Download and install s3swype.apk in the above link.

Go to: Menu > Settings > Language & Input > then tick the 'Swype' box.

Then click on the settings (cog), this will load the Swype settings. Select Input Method > the click on Swype

If you are in the UK then to download the UK language..when in Language Options:

Click on Language Options > Download languages > select English UK.

Once the UK language has been downloaded and installed.

At the top you should see English (US) click on it to select a different language, select English UK.

Any other languages that have ticks, towards the bottom of the Language Options, will be active languages and will show in your dictionary. Just untick the languages you do not wish to be active.

I have just installed and tried the above method, it all works. Thank you XDA!!!

Edit: Came across a slight issue today where it crashed, the keyboard remained visible no matter what screen I was on. I restarted the phone and all was back to normal. Hopefully Swype will get an update out for the SGS3

    First thing I tried

Looking at a youtube video on how to Root the S3 with Linux. He had the same problem, using PTP seemed to work after a while and now doest seem to have any problems with it.

I just have to hope it works its self out, or I find a fix. Even using gMTP only connects sometimes

Edit: To Tufftoad. I dislike swipe though I dislike other keypad more.
