Best means of rooting phone.....

First of all, hello all, first time posting on here so hopefully I will make some sort of sense!!!
I have a SGS running firmware 2.3.5 build number: Gingerbread.BVJVC Baseband version I9000BVJV3 kernal version 2.6.35.7-I9000BVJVC-CL679241root@DELL138#2 and was wondering what or which is the best way to remove all the Orange bloatware (I believe that's what it's called) and restore it to how it was originally intended to be.

If you want a non Orange phone, first you need to get your handset unlocked. Look on Play for SGS Unlock and follow instructions to unlock. Next you need a programme called Odin. Google for it and also watch the tuturials on You tube. The firmware will be available for download from www.sammobile.com. Search for UK / Ireland open firmware. Once you install this via Odin you will have an unbranded phone as Samsung intended it to be, not the Orange version.....
