    First impression of the TripleEye

Do I think it's worth the upgrade from my SGS so far: Short answer No.

There's a few reasons why I think this and I'm not to blame

    Who do I blame:
    Custom Rom developers.
    My contract.
Samsung and where I got my phone from.

I received the phone yesterday and unlike my last few phones, I didn't spend every last minute I could playing around with it. Within half hour (While doing some other things too ), I had the phone setup and ready, which turns out to be just a mirror image of how my SGS is. This is why I hate the Custom Rom developers, why did you have to make the SGS so good.

I'm on my first ever 24 month phone contract 18 months seemed like a push. I hope it won't start going to 30 months.

Well I ordered the blue one, then the other day I got an email telling me that it's been delayed again for a few more weeks. But got the option to get the white one instead or wait..... Well I couldn't wait no longer and it didn't take long to arrive.

The white looks good, but seems like an oversize frame while watching a few videos, which to be honest didn't last long Well not till I download the player I've been using for a while, now I need a new TV, the screen was not a let down

The anti-screen off face thing is good to, now I can stare at the phone wondering what I wanted to do and not having to keep unlocking

Will have to play some games on it later and try some of the other features, to see how it really compares with the SGS.

I like the look and feel. Love the screen and it's most probably way faster than the SGS (durr).
Also like the lock screen, but disliking how my wallpaper is. This could just be Go Launcher and I'm missing something because it's fine on the SGS

Just need to Root, maybe have a look a some Custom Roms and see how it goes. I don't think I'll miss the SGS due to the phones being so a like, This is what disappoints me the most and why Android 5 needs to be released soon. Well I could of gone for the Htc, I suppose

Now to look for a case, to make the phone look twice the size and not so sleek, just so I don't have to punish my hands if I drop it.

Do I regret getting one? Ask me next year when the Quad-I comes out. Right now I can only justify how great it is. Well it is great

Give it a few days then go back and try your SGS. You'll find the screen small and the phone slower than you remember.

Whenever I have need to faff-on with Mrs stonkr's eye eye, then go back to mine, It's clear the snappiness and real-estate is lacking.
I could be wrong, I usually am. (Because it's only a phone)

Maybe try one of the ics launchers like nova or apex. I switched to nova prime from go when I upgraded my eye eye to ics. Now waiting to make my s3 a mirror image of it when it's delivered using wanam's excellent wanamlite rom and siyah kernel.

Maybe with time The SGS is only a split second slow than the TripleEye and even less compared to the EyeEye, which somehow will be converted to being a day slower over my life. I'm not unhappy with it, and I know which one I'll go to pick up first. Now with a phone with a better screen than my TV, with my main use of watching videos, I'll bit anybody's hand off if they go for it

At least I can hold my head up high now, as I know I now have the best phone in the faimly

I've tied different launchers, but just like Go Launcher to much. One day a new launcher will come, I'll think it's ok but lacking, then next thing I know, I'll like it. This is how Go Launcher, replaced Launcher Pro

I'll be looking at Custom ROMs soon, just to see what there is, although the phone is great without one (I still need to Root thought).

    Come on Android 5.

Does anyone use the google talk? I just seem to get random strangers messaging. Is this normal

Well after my few days of ownership i can report i am totally happy with the SIII , and wow , woke up to an update the other day just asking me to restart and new Firmware was up and running in far less time tan the S1.

Boxed up my S1 last night as i have sold it , and boy did it feel strange , but hey still a great phone and looked after it that well you would think it was just out of the box , all those screen protectors over the last 2 years really looked after it. so bye bye S1.

Just ordered a side flip chrome/blue Samsung case for £19.99 off Amazon delivered next week after the 18th , like the look of the case and that it protects the screen as well , see loads out there with magnetic clips and after reading the manual saying do not use that type i opted for the new flip case.(and it will make it look like the Blue haha

I'm happy with the battery so far, watched a few hows of videos and still over 60% left (From the settings) or 90% looking at the battery bar! Don't think that's working right.

Usually you open the box and find the phone nestling in a holder in the middle of the box.

Nah, opened the box 15 minutes ago and really did laugh out loud. The thing's the same size as the box.

Good job I've got big pockets.

EDIT: Super quick on 5G wireless N.
