If you clear cache from recovery mode and connect to wifi you should be offered the OTA update again....

Try ticking USB debugging mode and then restart Kies. Wait for drivers to install before attempting to flash.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting the update. I got a notification on the phone yesterday and it tried to download but I wasn't on wifi, so I stopped it, yet it kept trying to download each time until I rebooted the phone.

WHen I got home, connected to the wifi I tried the update option in the settings menu and it told me there was no update now.

I got this too and can't use kies Will look when I go to Root.

I managed to sort it out and update last night using Swiper's suggestion above. Connected the phone in debugging mode and it installed all the drivers, then turned debugging off, restarted Kies and went through it all again and it connected and updated fine

That's good to hear. Better battery life. I always use the debug makes life easier!

Managed to get the update now, but had to download it via network 3g instead of WiFi.

I have tried all the suggestions in the thread and still can't access the update, cleared cache, wifi on / off etc etc

My build number is I9300XXALE8 - but when I try to get the update it says there is none available.

Any further suggestions please

I thought LE8 was the update?
However, I may well be wrong so I suggest you connect to Kies via your data cable and try that way.

I got I9300XXALF2 on my last update.
